0 01 American White Pelican / Delavan Lake

Every spring Delavan Lake in Walworth County, Wisconsin is blessed with these beautiful birds migrating through the area. They are fun to watch and much larger than pelicans you see in Florida and the Gulf Coast. It has the 2nd largest wingspan of any bird in North America (only California Condor larger), and the 'horn' on the bill only appears during mating season and falls off when season ends.
